Blog Post: Toytown Warehouse Sale ‘09
11/12/09Toytown Warehouse Sale ‘09
Fresh out of the Toy Kingdom Warehouse Sale last weekend, I figured I’d check this out. Eastwood isn’t too far off my beaten track. I dropped by today before work.
The venue’s pretty spacious. Smaller than the SM Megatrade hall, but the crowd isn’t as insanely huge as it was last weekend during the other Warehouse Sale. I’m a big guy (i.e. fat ass) and got around pretty easily, especially once I passed the big ticket items out front. Lines are still long, but I doubt you’d be there an hour as some people were at Megamall. I was pretty disappointed that they don’t accept deferred payments.
But then again, it’s only Thursday. This sale goes on the whole month and I’m sure the weekend will mean a huge jump in attendance.
Here’s what I saw.
- Transformers Animated (Leader Class w/Activators, Voyager Class)
- Transformers the Movie (Voyager Class)
- Transformers Universe (Ultra Class)
- GI Joe 25th Anniversary (Vehicles and figures)
- GI Joe Rise of Cobra (Vehicles and figures with slight discounts)
- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (CGI Movie figures and playsets)
- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Pogo Copter (for the old Playmates line)
- Zoids (very few)
- Avatar (mostly ghost Ang, 1 big figure, role-play staff)
- Skeleflex
- Wrestling Figures
- Terminator (the old 3″ endoskeletons)
- Terminator Salvation (figures and vehicles)
- Batman Shadowtek (figures and vehicles)
- Batman Begins (figures and vehicles)
- Kung Fu Panda (the small figures and playsets)
- Star Trek (all 3 scales of figures, playsets, and Enterprise replica)
- DC Universe (3.75″ scale)
- Ben 10
- Blue Dragon
- Dragonball
- High School
- Musical 3
- Dora Toys
- Disney Micro World figures
- Nerf Guns
- Various other non-brand toys
Now, keep in mind that this is a CLEARANCE SALE. If you’re a collector looking for something specific, stick to ebay. If you’re one of those guys only collecting superheros, sorry. No Marvel or DCUC that I could see. If you’re one of those idiots who think toy stores should be giving away toys at p50 a pop, forget it. They may have tiny added discounts on some items, but for the most part, the prices here on things like Transformers and GI Joe are the same as you’ll find in the toy stores themselves.
The Warehouse sale is for anyone looking for high quality toys for gifts this christmas. If you’re a collector who enjoys looking through stores in Greenhills for a bargain, and is into multiple lines, then give it a try as well.
If you’re looking for low quality toys for kids you don’t like, that’s fine too. They have those. But don’t tell anyone you don’t like kids. This thing’s full of parents who might kill you.

@Ronald, thanks for catching that. Edited with the correct info.
Posted by slangards at November 12, 2009, 9:49 pmHey, thanks for the info.
Btw, is there a Toy Kingdom sale at SM North this weekend? My mom was at TK MOA today and I asked her to buy the mousers for me but the store guy told her that those items were pulled out and moved to SM North for the Toy Kingdom sale. I haven’t checked Toy Kingdom mega though.
Do you think the Black Market EX will be any good?

“TK Warehouse Sale in SM North will be on Nov 14, 15, 16 at the Sky Garden”
It’ll only be at the Sky Garden, not at any of the stores or branches. Your best bet is to go EARLY.
Posted by slangards at November 13, 2009, 9:35 pm@xine, Sorry I thought the Black Market X was back on. It’s not.
It was postponed indefinitely a while back. Saw some posts that said that they had rescheduled, but it hasn’t been.
