Blog Entry: Marvel Legends Poll
07/25/09Marvel Legends Poll
Drop what you’re doing right this second! This is more important! Click the following link and VOTE FOR THE NEXT MARVEL LEGENDS!
Picture from www.actionfigurepics.com
- Fantomex: I love Bachalo’s designs, but this looks simplistic. I’d love to set him next to the Weapon X guys, but we don’t have Wraith, Silver Fox, or Maverick and we’re unlikely to ever get them.
- Deadpool: Don’t need another one of these. The accessories would be nice, but they’re not worth it.
- McGuiness Hulk: Hell yes! They could feed me 20 new Hulks and I’d buy them. But I’ve got a feeling that this one will eventually come out anyway.
- Brother Voodoo: Who the hell is this guy? Why would anyone want him?
- Black Widow: Top of the list. Yes we have one, but this one is a vast improvement. I don’t care if she’s a top tier character, she was the first on my list.
- Warpath: After I got over the hype about Liefeild in the ’90s, I lost all taste for him and his characters. The only X-Force characters I’d have voted for would’ve been Deadpool, Cable, Boom Boom, or Domino. We’ve got three good ones already. Granted the other is a piece of crap, but she’s not here.
- Ms. Marvel: I’m sure Avenger fans will want this, but I like her modern costume better, and since I’m a Rogue fan, no. She should have stayed dead.
- Havok: I really hate this costume. The original was cool and we got that (albiet in the impossible-to-get-at-a-reasonable price Giant Man wave) already. If this was the Stroman costume, that would have been a different story. Strong Guy where are you?
- Constrictor: This guy’s been pit against Hulk, S.H.E.I.L.D., Captain America, Iron Man, Spider-Man… He fits in almost EVERYWHERE. Automatic vote.
- Terror, Inc.: I didn’t even realise they’d brought this guy back. If he had his coat and hat, it would have been a winner. This version… not so much.
- Valkyrie: Maybe if she had a more detailed sculpt she’d win out. She’s definitely a nice army builder and ties into the Thor movie, but looks to plain to sell. Plus, this is a 2-pack we’re voting for. Not conducive to army builders.
- Bag Spidey: Cool. He’s like the Revoltech Danboard. An obscure version/character, but damn nice to look at in a display.
- Maddrox: If it was a classic costume and a sold as a single figure, then he’d have my vote. As it is, no. Can’t have a multiple man without multiples.
- Phoenix: I swear it looks like the guys at Marvel modeled her after some porn start. She looks familiar and that bored look… Nothing so great that we have to have it.
- Nuke: I will admit this is another one I had to wiki. Talk about B-list. With a name like Nuke, he sounds like a superhero jobber. Nice gun, but pass.
- X-force Wolverine: You’re kidding right? no Hasbro. NO. You didn’t even try. It’s a straight re-paint of the brown Wolverine, which you’ve already used like 4 times. Stop it. Stop it now.
- The Hood: I really hate this guy’s design. It seems to throw everything we like about superhero costume and piss on it. He looks like a LARPer who isn’t trying hard enough.
- Bi-Beast: YES. Fucking hell, yes. And pair him with that Hulk up there, or Constrictor. Perfect. It’s a no-brainer Hasbro.
- Lady Bullseye: I liked it when I first saw it and it still looks like a great graphic design, but we only get 3.
So let’s re-cap. I want you all to go to the first link and check the following, mmmkay? Then click on VOTE. It doesn’t matter if you collect Marvel Legends or not. This is important. The fate of the world hangs in the balance here.
Black Widow
Constrictor
Bi-Beast

Rogue sucks ass. I’m glad there’s no new figure of her.
